Among Tokyo's large-scale fireworks festivals, Adachi no Hanabi is held earlier than most, in May. It is characterized as a "high-density fireworks display," with about 13,000 fireworks concentrated into just one hour. The climax is the "W Niagara," two 250-meter-long cascades of fire.
