The mikoshi bears the "Tenka-ichi-name no Men" sacred mask, said to have been dedicated by Tokugawa Ieyasu, and its procession moves to the rhythm of Shinagawa Byoshi music. During Sunday's miya-iri rite, bearers carry the Sozomachi Mikoshi up and down the shrine's 53-step front stone stairway.
