Takiyama Sakura Matsuri is a cherry-blossom event held at Takiyama Park, one of Higashimatsushima's leading cherry-blossom spots. The park has about 500 cherry trees, with Somei-Yoshino at their best from early April and double-flowered cherries into late April.
